Bio
Dr
Zhao Jun is a professor at the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition,
Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his PhD
degree from Tsinghua University in 1998. Before joining NLPR in 2002, he
worked in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as a
postdoctoral research fellow. His current research focuses on natural
language processing, information extraction and question answering. Prof
Zhao has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in the prestigious
conferences and journals, including ACL, SIGIR, TKDE, JLMR, IJCAI, EMNLP,
etc. His paper “Relation Classification via Convolutional Deep Neural
Network” obtained best paper award of COLING-2014. His paper “Collective
entity linking in web text: a graph-based method” ranks 2 in the
highest referenced papers of SIGIR in recent five years with the Google
academic search. He also served as workshop cochair for ACL-2016.
